Family Pictures

It's been a couple years....BUT we finally had family pictures taken tonight.  Michele does an amazing job.  Preview to come in a couple days when she gets them posted on her website

I talked him in to getting a hair cut since we have family pictures this week :)

My favorite day of the week has always been Sunday. Still is and today is no exception :) We went and saw my brother and his family, so Mason (aka Justin) got his hair cut and then my niece, Ansley, came home to hang out. Fun times!!

In a complete and total shock of the tables turning...look who got to come in the house at the suggestion of Dad.  Abby asked if she could become a housedog, well no...but she does get to come in and visit. She was happy to hang out and quickly made her home in my chair.

KSU Volleyball

For Nicole's birthday this year, she got tickets to the KSU/KU Volleyball match in Manhattan.  It was a great match & she was able to take her friend, Jackie, with us.  And the best part was K-State won!!!

Conversation with a 9 year old

After spending the night at a friends house and getting dropped off....this is the conversation Dane & I had.
Me: Did you have fun?
Dane: Yes (& then I heard all about the night)
Me: Did you say Thank You
Dane: Yes.....well, hey Mom does just "thanks" count?
Me: Sure does
Dane: (sigh) oh good, cause I usually just say thanks

Stack the Door

The high school stacked the door ways for Gods Food Pantry today. The winning class gets to take 1st hour off! Mason's class won as they almost filled it completely full (and you can see his head as he got on his tip toes to look over the top). If only I could sleep in that morning too and not go in until 8:45!!

Tonight we celebrated Stan's parents wedding anniversary. 50 amazing years they have been married. Congratulations!!

It's a National Holiday

OK, so maybe it's not, but it is a very important weekend every year in our lives.  We always get to see some of our wonderful family & have made many new friends! The kids all look forward to opening weekend of pheasant season and constantly talk about all the people they get to see.  Not quite as many birds this year as they have in the years past .... but it was definitely a fun filled, memorable weekend.
